Reforestation

The regional basic nursery of Polotsk forestry enterprise is situated in 46 quarter Tourovljansky forestry, 2 km from the forestry office. 
The area of the sowing branch is 12,35 hectares, the area of the school branch - 5,75 hectares, other areas- 4,5 hectares. Total – 22,6 hectares. 
The primary goal of the nursery - cultivation of the standard planting material for the woods reproduction.

The director and the main forest warden of the forestry enterprise with the help of the reforestation land improvement engineer and the chief of the nursery are in charge of the nursery.

The standard planting material is the main product sold in the basic nursery. Substantial sales growth of the decorative planting material for needs of the district and the cities is planned. 
The enterprises of the district and the cities, and also the forestry enterprises of Vitebsk region are the main consumers of the product.
The relief of the area is slightly wavy with an even inclination to the southwest direction. 
The nursery soils are cespitose-podsolic, developing on the coherent fluvioglacial sands, replaced by friable sands. The bedding depth of the ground waters is 2,2m.

The humus maintenance in the top horizon of the producing area is 2,2 %. 
The acidity of the soils is 5,78 рН. 
The use of the nursery area, the producing part is 85 % from the total area. 

There is a complex of cars and mechanisms for the technological process of the planting material cultivation in the nursery.
